Q: What is Tae Kwon-Do?
A:
Tae Kwon-Do is a, relatively new, martial art founded by Grandmaster General Choi Hong Hi in Korea. It was officially named Tae Kwon-Do in 1955.
Q: How long does the course last?
A:
Tae Kwon-Do is training that you undertake for life. It may take you as short as 3-4 years to reach 1st Dan black belt, but that is just the beginning. There are 9 Degrees of black belt.
1st-3rd Novice
4th-6th Expert
7th & 8th Master
9th Grandmaster
Q: How much does it cost?
A:
$65 for one calender month (3 classes per week).
$45 each person, from the same household.
Q: Can my child under 6 years old train with you?
A:
Unfortunately classes are for 6 years and above. Contact us if you are interested in private lessons.
Q: Will I get hurt?
A:
Tae Kwon-Do, like other martial arts, is potentially dangerous. Tae Kwon-Do is a contact art. You will get hit and accidents may happen. All students practice Tae Kwon-Do at their own risk.
Q: Is there a beginners class?
A:
As a beginner you will join in with the regular class. Classes are structured such that all levels of ability can be catered for.
